UCS students from far and wide have recently gathered for an intensive week of face to face delivery. Face to face weeks are a highlight for students throughout the year as they come together as part of the unique blended delivery model. With groups based in Bury, Greater Manchester and Northampton Town Football Club, the intensive weeks provided an opportunity for students to be assessed on practical units and to receive highly personalised academic workshops to support semester 1 and semester 2 modules from the expert team of UCS tutors. In addition, the face to face weeks provide students with the opportunity to bond with peers, Â collaborate academically and enjoy the wider student experience. The group based in Bury enjoyed the chance to have practical coaching lectures delivered by guest lecturer Kyle Hall who is a UEFA B licenced coach. For those based at the southern location, they were joined for a lecture and Q&A by Chris Winton, who discussed his own professional journey in education and semi-professional football. Students in both groups were to demonstrate through practical assessment the application of theory and lively classroom debates were founded upon the foundation of a deep theoretical knowledge acquired over weeks of online learning. UCS seeks to develop career ready individuals and during the face to face weeks personal tutors and the Head of Learner Experience ensure that beyond the module specification. Students also improve their skills as individuals and enhance their career potential. Â
